Will technology be provided for student usage?
The Barrett School offers a progressive, technology-driven program with emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Each classroom is equipped with a Smartboard and one-to-one technology for each student. The Barrett School offers a virtual reality lab for students in sixth through twelfth grades, and all students have access to age-appropriate robotics.
Does the Barrett School offer part time or online programs?
The Barrett School does not offer part time or hybrid programs; however, a virtual campus option will be available in the near future.
Are payment plans available?
The Barrett School offers a 10-month or 12-month payment plan. Additionally, families have the option to pay in full and receive a 10% (ten) percent discount.

Is there a tuition discount for multiple children who attend The Barrett School?
The Barrett School does not offer a tuition discount for multiple children, but financial aid is offered in the form of tuition payment plans and tuition assistance, which is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Does The Barrett School follow the Okaloosa County School District's calendar?
The Barrett School closely follows the Okaloosa County school calendar but does not strictly adhere to it. The Barrett School calendar reflects slight variations.

Does The Barrett School accept scholarships?
The Barrett School is an approved provider with the Florida Department of Education for the Step Up for Students scholarship programs. These scholarships must be applied for through stepupforstudents.org. Once approved, families wishing to use their scholarship funds must submit their award letter to the admissions office. Families are then responsible for tuition costs that exceed the scholarship amount.

How does The Barrett School ensure safety on campus?
The Barrett School places extreme importance on maintaining the health and safety of our students. Our campus is designed to have one point of entry with access granted by one of two school resource officers. Each door is equipped with keyless entry and locks upon closing.

What are school day hours?
School programs begin at 8:30 am and last until 2:30 pm. In order to alleviate traffic congestion on Commons Drive, The Barrett School implements staggered drop-off and pickup times starting as early as 8:10 am and ending as late as 2:50 pm.

Does The Barrett School offer extended day programs?
The Barrett School offers daily early care beginning at 7:45 am. While we do not offer a traditional aftercare program, we invite our students to participate in one of our many after-school clubs.
What curriculum does The Barrett School use?
The Barrett School uses an extensive collection of curricula designed to meet the needs of all our students. Our primary curriculum is HMH, which is the industry leader in K-12 curriculum. Supplemental curriculum includes Carolina Biological Supply, VictoryXR, Science of Reading, Thinking Mathematics!, PASCO scientific, and Eisco Labs.
